Munich & London

First steps

sunny 12 °C

15th of March 2012. I still can recall myself sitting in the living room back home and starting my first diary. When I bought the diary I expected this 200-page diary to last me perfectly for my nearly 200-day journey. One page a day - sounded feasable. Little did I expect to write more. It turned out that the diary only lasted me for less than 30 days and I ended up writing 10 diaries, so about 2000 - 3000 pages. Little did I expect a journey that will fulfill so many pages when I started with the first entry.

On that Thursday my parents gave me a ride from St. Johann in Tirol to Munich, where I was going to catch up with Chrisi, an Austrian friend who's now working in Munich.
Then time to say good bye to mum and dad - must have been harder for them than for me!

Couldn't resist bringing some Austrian culture into that German flat, so there we go first Kaiserschmarrn on my journey (was actually the best!)
Chopped up Austrian pancake - we just call it Kaiserschmarrn.

And there's my first couch I was entitled to crash:

The next day I had to get up early to catch my plane from Munich to London Heathrow. I had about 8 hours till my flight to Bangkok was boarding, hence off I went to Picadilly Circus with the tube, browsing around in Central London on a stunningly beautiful spring day in London.
